Tony Hawk: Ride? Worth it?

I was thinking about getting it on my Xbox 360 for Christmas and I want to know if it is worth getting?
How fun is it?
Do you recommend it?
If I do get it, can I also use the skateboard controller for other skating games like Tony Hawk Proving Ground or Skate or Skate2?
I also need answers as soon as I can so I can get it before it’s too late, if I decide to get one.

Gametrailers.com recently "awarded" the game with a fairly low rating of 4.6 out of a possible 10. The controller works worse than average in normal difficulty mode and becomes almost unusable in the higher difficulty settings. Free roaming is more or less out of question because the game wants you to follow a straight path like some kind of obstacle course, this took away one of the best features of the Tony Hawk series.
Graphics are okay, apart from some clipping glitches, but almost every game has problems with this. Tony Hawk: Ride delivers less music tracks than the previous games and the comments from the Pro Skaters sound unmotivated.
