What is the difference between a thin skateboard and a thick one?



I am gonna be purchasing a skateboard and my last board was a 7.5, is their a difference between them like popping the board up etc…

    Thin boards do tend to have more " spring " to them and lend themselves better to aerostunts.

    if you are a street skater go for anything lower than a 7.5 and if you skate vert go for a wider deck.

    ones thick and ones thin.
